FEMA’s ready.gov has many resources and suggestions (and may not survive this admin if you want to take notes now!)
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is a free FEMA program that “educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may occur where they live and trains volunteers in basic disaster response skills” so they can be a support to neighbors in emergencies.
