My role as a practitioner is to recognize the innate wisdom of every client, and to use THE POWER OF plants, practices and intuition to SUPPORT you IN SHIFTING PATTERNS AND BUILDING GREATER resiliency.
I believe that wellness must be understood in relation to larger systems of oppression and healing is an integral part of our movements towards justice. I feel honored to work with people who have previously felt marginalized in their health care experiences, especially neurodivergent clients. I bring to my practice my experience within queer, trans and gender non-conforming community as well as an awareness of how ableism, white supremacy, classism and fatphobia effect both health and access.
APPOINTMENTS
For long care clients an initial two-hour comprehensive intake we will cover your primary concerns, as well as your medical and social history, to find the herbs and tools that can best shift difficult patterns and imbalances. Follow-up sessions occur every six weeks and allow for 75 minutes of conversation and care.
Sessions for one-time clients seeking support for gender-affirming surgeries or life transitions are 75 minutes.
After each appointment I will send you an individualized herbal formula and notes about the herbs used, as well as recommendations for somatic practices, meditations and rituals to further support you in this work. The majority of the tinctures and teas that I offer clients are made from plants that I have grown and harvested by hand.
I have found that healing is rarely linear, but change is always possible. I endeavor to hold space in a way that is non-judgmental, generative, and welcomes your full participation.
Location:
I am currently based in Oakland, California and offer consultations over the phone or backyard appointments for locals- weather permitting.
Rates:
Consultation: $80-$150 sliding scale, Herbs: $12 per oz (usually 2 to 4 oz are recommended), Shipping: $0-$10 based on location.
The consultation fee usually represents a minimum of four hours of time and energy in preparation, research, formulation, medicine making, writing up recommendations etc. so one way to think about where you might land on the sliding scale is to consider your own hourly rate.
(Initial intakes are 120 minutes, follow ups are 75-90 minutes but both are offered at the same rate.)
I hold a few low-cost consultations available each month for low-income folks- prioritizing BIPOC, elders and clients with disabilities- so please let me know if you need to access one of these sessions.
transparency:
I consider this work therapeutic because I love holding space for peoples’ stories and experiences, and because herbs can offer gentle but powerful support. I am not, however, a licensed therapist, counselor, psychiatrist, or doctor. I appreciate being part of a client’s larger care team and I will always be honest about my limitations and scope of practice.
